New Car: 2013 Vauxhall Insigina VXR SuperSport

Vauxhall has unveiled a new top-spec Insignia. The VXR SuperSport replaces the standard Insignia VXR, and the top speed has increased by 15mph, to 170mph. But the price has gone the other way - the new car costs £3,760 less, at £29,995.

Thanks to that 170mph top speed, Vauxhall is claiming the new SuperSport is the fastest car on sale in the UK for under £30k. It's supposedly the most powerful, too.

The VXR SuperSport is powered by a 2.8-litre V6 turbo with the same 321bhp as the old model's engine. Vauxhall has removed the electronic limiter to increase the top speed. The car takes 5.6 seconds to sprint from 0-62mph and gets a HiPerStrut front suspension system to improve grip.

It¹s almost identical to the previous Insignia VXR, with key differences including new brake calipers, which now have blue Brembo lettering. Meanwhile, inside some extra speed increments have been added to the speedometer.

The Vauxhall Insignia VXR SuperSport is available to order now and comes with Vauxhall's Lifetime Warranty. For more details click here.
